Designing infoLINK
The Overall Project: This was a group project that lasted 13 weeks where our group was given the opportunity to work with a real-world client, to re-design a transport experience. I really enjoyed the research and development side of the project, being able to find a problem in the current transport solution for future use of 2030.
The Problem:
The Development: I wanted the design to consists of an inclusive circular shape that distributes users to specific screen areas, whereby they can access information, based on their needs. To consist of interactive touchscreen devices (the product), scaled to fit many users at once. This improves productivity, efficiency and traffic flow within the hub, whilst making the user experience more individualised.

The Prototyping: The models were created digitally on Solidworks to showcase the vision of the design, which consisted of the 3 interactive side screens, to then the centre pillar where interactive screens would also be placed.

The Final Design: The final design of the infoLink system would be based in the 2030 vision of the Brisbane transport system. Its main use is for the elderly, and tourists who would find it difficult to navigate major transport hubs. the touchscreens located around the device would map out their journey for them without trying to walk the centre. This improves confusion of users in the transport system, as their journey and directions can be planned-out in front of them.

What I Learnt: This project introduced me into being in a group project, where I would incorporate other design views from others. This was the first project where our group presented our final design to a client, where I learnt to only address only the necessary facts that would be relevant to their business model.
